Malta International Powerboat & Sailing School (MIPSS) was established in 2007 and was the first private school to gain Transport Malta approval for nautical licence training. The school’s classroom is set in the heart of Valletta’s Grand Harbour, with practical training launched from Marsa.

About
MIPSS holds approvals from Transport Malta, the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and the International Yacht Training (IYT) network, and runs MCA-recognised programmes. Tuition is offered in English, Maltese, Italian and French, which is unusual on the island and useful for foreign residents pursuing a Maltese licence. Indicative fees include €250 for the Maltese Nautical Licence, €300 for the Personal Watercraft course, and €950 for STCW Basic Safety.
