Laguna Marina is the small marina set within the Valletta Waterfront development at Pinto Wharf, Floriana, immediately below the bastion walls of Valletta and Floriana. It sits inside the southern arm of Grand Harbour, on the western side, in one of the most photographed waterfronts in the Mediterranean.
The marina offers berthing for a small number of yachts within the protected basin formed by the historic Pinto Wharf stores, now converted to restaurants and shops. The location is exceptional — direct walk-out access to the Valletta Waterfront promenade, the Three Cities ferry terminal, and (via the Barrakka Lift) into Valletta itself in a few minutes.
Berths are limited in number and tend to be allocated by the marina operator on application; this is not a transient marina with significant walk-up availability. Annual contracts are the norm. Approach is straightforward by way of the southern entrance to Grand Harbour, but call ahead on VHF and respect the routing of cruise ships and local commercial vessels — Grand Harbour is busy.
For yacht owners and charter crews based in Malta, Laguna Marina is a unique-location berth rather than a service-heavy boatyard option. Best suited to boats that will be used to enjoy the Grand Harbour setting and that don’t need the chandleries-and-mechanics infrastructure surrounding Msida or Manoel Island.
