Malta and Gozo have a well-developed marina network catering to charter boats, day-boats, and superyachts alike. From the historic walls of Grand Harbour Marina in Vittoriosa to the working pontoons of Msida and Manoel Island, the fishing-village mooring at Mġarr in Gozo, and the modern facilities at Portomaso, you’ll find every type of berth, fuel, water, and chandlery within a few miles of wherever you’re sailing.

For visiting yachts, the larger marinas can usually accommodate transient berths in season — though it’s worth booking ahead in July and August. For charter customers, the marina you’re leaving from will be set by the boat owner; check your booking confirmation, or message the owner if you need parking, fuel, or shore-power details for your trip.

Birzebbugia Bay Moorings

Birzebbugia sits on Malta's south coast with swing moorings in the bay, offering a real option for owners cruising the south coast or basing a smaller boat away from the busy north.

Gardens Yacht Marina Malta

Gardens Yacht Marina sits along the Ta' Xbiex waterfront on the southern shore of Marsamxett Harbour, offering a quieter, well-positioned central Malta berth.

Grand Harbour Marina Vittoriosa

Grand Harbour Marina is Malta's prestige berth, tucked into the historic Vittoriosa waterfront under Fort St Angelo with views across to Valletta and superyacht capacity to 100 metres.

Kalkara Marina Malta

Kalkara sits on the eastern side of the Grand Harbour opposite Valletta, offering a smaller, more affordable alternative to Grand Harbour Marina or Msida.

Manoel Island Marina sits in Lazzaretto Creek at the northern end of Marsamxett Harbour, with a central position, reasonable pricing, and a mix of liveaboards and visitors.

Marsamxett Harbour Anchorage

Marsamxett is the harbour to the north of Valletta, the operational heart of Maltese yachting and home to Msida, Ta' Xbiex, Pieta Creek and Manoel Island marinas.

Mgarr Harbour Gozo

Mgarr is where Gozo begins. The compact working harbour offers berthing for private yachts alongside fishing boats and the ferry terminal in a genuinely Gozitan setting.

Msida Yacht Marina

Msida is the busiest marina in Malta and the operational centre of the country's recreational boating scene, sitting at the head of Marsamxett Harbour.

Pieta Creek Marina

Pieta Creek is the smaller inlet just south of Msida, hosting a mix of private moorings, club berths and a smaller commercial marina operation with a more local feel.

Portomaso Marina St Julian’s

Portomaso is a small private marina built into the Portomaso development at the southern end of St Julian's, effectively part of the Hilton complex with limited transient berthing.
