What Qui-si-Sana is
Qui-si-Sana is the stretch of Sliema seafront south of Exiles, with rocky platforms, a few sand patches and the Tigne Point apartments rising behind. Like Exiles it’s a generations-old urban swimming spot, popular at sunset and through summer evenings.
Anchoring
Not a sensible anchorage. Open to the harbour and to the north and east, with rocky bottom and constant ferry and harbour cruise wash. The water itself is fine for swimming in calm conditions but the spot doesn’t work as a boat destination.
Practical notes
Useful only as urban context. If you’re staying in Marsamxett and walking the Sliema seafront, Qui-si-Sana is one of the spots you’ll pass. From a boat it’s a coastline feature rather than an anchorage. For actual swimming and anchoring around Sliema, head into Marsamxett proper or up the coast to St George’s Bay, with the proviso that none of the Sliema-area swims really compete with what’s available 30 minutes north.
