What Dahlet Qorrot offers
Dahlet Qorrot is a small bay on Gozo’s east coast, near the village of Nadur. The defining feature is the line of boat houses cut directly into the limestone cliffs, used for generations by local fishermen and now mostly occupied by small pleasure boats. The atmosphere is properly local, with families spending summer weekends at the boat houses and almost no tourist traffic.
Anchoring
Small bay with limited anchoring space. Sand and rock mix in 3 to 6 metres. Holding is patchy, set the anchor in sand patches and check it. The bay opens to the east and is sheltered from west through south. Easterly weather makes it uncomfortable.
Practical notes
No formal facilities, but a small kiosk operates seasonally. The swim is excellent, the rocky edges are great for snorkelling, and the boat-house atmosphere gives the bay a character you don’t find elsewhere on Gozo. Quiet, unspoiled, and one of the bays you remember even years later.
